Spring is Here

There’s something thathappens inside my heart this time of year that I never get tired of. The groundthat looked completely dead just weeks ago starts pushing things up through the soil. No announcement. No apology. No waiting until everything is perfect. Spring just… shows up.

I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately.

How many of us are siting on something: a dream, a conversation, a change we know we need to make? Always waiting for the right conditions. Waiting until the kids are older, the money is steadier, the timing is better, or the plan is perfect.

Spring doesn’t wait. It just becomes, often coming in waves and messily in the process.

In Your Home

Spring in the home isn’t just about cleaning out the closets (though honestly, I love a good declutter session). It’s about energy. After a long winter of being cooped up, contained and resting. There’s a permission that comes with spring to open the windows, literally and figuratively. To let fresh air into the spaces that have gotten stale.

This season I’m intentional about what I’m bringing into our home: more laughter, more inner peace, and more moments where we’re just together.

In Your Heart

Here’s the thing about winter blues. They’re necessary. The grief, the rest, the going inward all of it serves a purpose. But sometimes we overstay our winters. We get so used to the cold that we forget what warmth feels like.

If you’ve been in a long inner winter, spring is your sign. Not to be happy immediately, not to have it all figured out, but to take one small step toward the light. Open one window. Plant one small seed of hope. That’s enough to start.

At Work

In business and leadership, spring is the season to revisit. What are you building, and does it still actually reflect who you are or who you want to become? Spring is a natural reset point. New energy, new ideas, new opportunities.

Spring is short. It doesn’t linger waiting for you to be ready. But here’s the gift: every single year, it comes back around. Every year you get another chance to bloom a little more fully than you did before. You don’t have to haveit all figured out. You just have to be willing to grow.

Open the windows. Water the things that matter. And for the love of everything, stop waiting for perfect conditions to grow.

Where might you be waiting for perfect conditions instead of simply taking the next step?
