Becoming the Mustard Seed

Have you ever woken up in the morning and felt like you couldn’t get out of bed? I see you. Even when you have everything you need to be happy—when you’re healthy, your family is healthy, and you are loved—something can still feel off.

That was me.

It took time, reflection, and a lot of help to finally understand what was going on. I realized I was living in survival mode. I was doing everything I could to be “perfect,” but I wasn’t checking in with myself. I wasn’t asking if I was okay. I wasn’t giving myself permission to rest.

The moment I decided something needed to change, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. I read a scripture about a mustard seed—the smallest seed on earth, yet when it grows, it becomes strong enough for birds to rest on its branches. That message hit me deeply.

And it made me wonder: what if we are all mustard seeds, waiting for the perfect timing to be planted—so we can grow, stand strong, and make a difference in this world?

That’s when I decided: I want to be that mustard seed.

I want to grow strong, even from small beginnings. I want to help others find their own mustard seed to plant and nurture. And when they’re tired or struggling, I want them to be able to rest on my branches, knowing they’re supported.

This is why I believe I’m here.

Together, we can grow a garden full of mustard trees. I’m endlessly grateful to everyone who helped me discover who I truly am. You know who you are.

What is one thing you can change today to allow yourself to be planted, grow, and make a difference?
